Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Sciences organizes a Workshop on ‘Scientific Analysis of Yoga’

Department of Mathematics, Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Sciences (UCALS), Uttaranchal University, organized a workshop on ‘Scientific Analysis of Yoga’ on 27th April 2018. The purpose of this workshop was to highlight the scientific analysis and application of yoga. The theme of this workshop explored the multifaceted aspect of yoga and ancient system originated in India.

The event proceeded with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal, UCALS), Dr. V.K. Srivastava, Dr. Tarun Kumar Gupta.

Dr. V.K. Srivastava (Head, Department of Mathematics) welcomed the dignitaries and introduced the guest to the students. Dr. Shalu Chaudhary (Workshop Organizing secretary) emphasized upon the importance of conducting such events for the students. He explained that the purpose of the event was to provide the knowledge about the yoga & meditation.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal, UCALS) motivated the students and advised them to explore benefits of the yoga &meditation and science behind yoga. He also encouraged the students to participate actively in such activities. 100 students participated in this workshop.

Experts initiated presentations with the scientific analysis of Yoga and meditation. They imparted the working knowledge to do meditation. He also elaborated the function of working mind and techniques to improve concentration to understand the mathematics. The seminar turned out to be a huge success with active support of Dr. M.K. Sharma, Dr. Mohit Kumar, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Mr. AtmaNand and Ms. DipikaSaxena.
