Workshop on résumé writing

School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, was established in the year 2019 with a purpose of providing quality education in various programs related to Humanities and Social Sciences to enable the students from all parts of the country build their careers in government, private, and social sector in diversified profiles. The school also aspires to become the centre of excellence in the field of research and development thereby contributing to the process of national progress and development.

The school is presently working tirelessly under the capable leadership of its Dean Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar with an aim to nurture all its students into lifelong learners along with transforming them into professionals who are ready to meet the standards and demands of the industry both at the national and international levels.

With these objectives in view the school organized a workshop on résumé writing on 30 November 2021 for all the fifth semester students from all the programs to prepare them well in advance for the upcoming campus placement drives at the University. The workshop was organized and conducted by Mr Ankur Sharma, Training Coordinator, SLA, Uttaranchal University. The session was started by Prof Shravan Kumar with few motivational words followed by a discourse wherein Mr Ankur Sharma, Training Coordinator, SLA, Uttaranchal University enlightened the participants on different aspects of résumé writing related to language, structure, and formatting through an in-depth analysis and a pragmatic approach.

Mr Shubho Bhattacharya, Employability Trainer, from Corporate Resource Centre, and Mr Ankur Sharma, Training Coordinator, SLA, Uttaranchal University were also present on this occasion and gave their valuable inputs on the subject to the students. The students thanked the college for organizing such an event and showed their genuine interest in attending such events with full enthusiasm regularly in the days to come also. The request of the students has been duly accepted and the planning for organizing further sessions is already in progress at the college.
