Uttaranchal University Volleyball (M) Team performed well and stood Runner up in ‘Aavahan 5.0’, a Sports Event organized by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow (7th -10th February, 2019).
After taking bye in First League Match Uttaranchal University Team defeated the Team of Babu Banarsi Das, Lucknow in two straight sets in Second League Match and reached the Semifinal of the event.
In the Semifinal Match with ICFAI University- Dehradun, Uttaranchal University Team again won in two straight sets by 11-0 and 25-15 and entered the Finals of the Tournament.
In the Final Match with National Law University, Jodhpur Uttaranchal University Team performed very well and in a breathtaking match was defeated in the 5th Set of the Match by 15-13.
University Volleyball (W) and Football (M) Team also participated in the event and performed well.
After returning to the University all the teams were appreciated and encouraged by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Joshi and Director- Student Affairs & IT Services Dr. Abhishek Joshi. All the teams were guided and coordinated by Mr. Tarun Kumar, Sports In-charge, Uttaranchal University.
