Uttaranchal University IEEE Students Chapter and Uttaranchal Institute of Technology organize an online Workshop on ‘MS Secure Work from Anywhere’ in collaboration with Ernst and Young LLP

As pandemic has effected all the dimensions of one’s life, people have adopted different ways to move on and have found better ways to achieve their goals without worrying about the hurdles arrived due to this unprecedented time. Education sector is too affected as lockdown has shut all the doors of classrooms and has barred physical interaction with the students. To overcome this situation, academia has adopted online version of teaching, sharing ideas and assessing the work. Many giant tech players have come up with their latest tools and technologies with the help of which online learning have become easy and adaptive. To understand such technologies and to gain an insight of one of the best online learning tools available, Uttaranchal University IEEE Students Chapter and Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, organized an online Workshop on ‘MS Secure Work from Anywhere’ on 29 January, 2021 in collaboration with Ernst and Young LLP.

The objective of the online workshop was to help customer (students and faculty members) gain an understanding of how Microsoft Secure Work from Anywhere solution can be effectively utilized for defining scope, identifying stakeholders, and gathering information about current environment and workloads to be enabled or optimized for remote work. Subsequently determining security requirements and developing joint plan for deployment. Consequently, this would play a vital role in accelerating the customer’s business growth.

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar (Director- UIT) delivered the Welcome Address and introduced the eminent speakers to the audience. His opening words induced enthusiasm in the audience as he briefed about the importance of an appropriate start for any task and its impact on the outcome and efficacy of the that particular task. He encouraged the students to follow the advises to be given by the Speakers in their sessions.

Team EY shared their presentation covering following agendas: –
1. Understanding the customer objectives and workloads to be enabled or optimized for remote work.
2. Evaluating options and implications to enable remote work scenarios.
3. Developing joint deployment plans and recommended next steps.

Mr. Somil Kumar Gupta (Assistant Professor, CSE) organized the online workshop using Microsoft Team platform.

Dr. Minakshi Memoria, HOD-CSE, proposed the Vote of Thanks to all attendees in the Workshop. The workshop was attended by the Faculty Members and Students of all the colleges of Uttaranchal University.
