Uttaranchal University celebrates 72nd Republic Day

Uttaranchal University witnessed the celebration of Republic Day on 26th January, 2021. The 72nd Republic Day of India was celebrated with great respect and passion in all its solemnity and dignity in Uttaranchal University strictly following the issued instructions and guidelines. 

Hon’ble Director – Development and Planning, Uttaranchal University Shri. Jagdish Joshi expressed gratitude to the National Heroes for their supreme sacrifice and offered flowers on the pedestal of the reverend “Wall of Heroes”. He presided over the function after inspecting the ‘Guard of Honor’ presented by the Security Guards of the University. To honor the sovereignty of our nation he unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem followed by Vande Mataram and expressed the joy of freedom. 

Hon’ble Director – Development and Planning, Uttaranchal University Shri. Jagdish Joshi addressed the limited gathering and awakened everyone’s feeling of pride towards motherland and elaborated the sanctity of the occasion. He elaborated the sanctity of the occasion and highlighted the role played by the Constitution makers, with particular reference to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He affirmed that Justice, Fraternity, Equality and Liberty formed a strong foundation leading to the constitution of a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic. He concluded by stating the need of collective responsibility and action to transform India into a developed nation.

The program concluded with Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Nakoti, Estate Officer and distribution of sweets. 

Let us all be proud of our beloved nation. We all have to collectively endeavor to make India vibrant, strong and supreme. Liberty in the mind, strength in the words, pureness in our blood, pride in our souls, passion in our hearts, let’s salute our motherland India on Republic Day.
