In continuation of “Swachha Bharat Abhiyan” launched by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organized a one day “Cleanliness Campaign” on 25th September, 2018 in Kehri village, Premnagar, Dehradun. The one day street cleaning campaign was conducted by School of Agriculture under the guidance of Dr. V.K. Srivastava, NSS Coordinator of the University and supervised by Mr. Sunil Prakash, NSS Coordinator of SOA.
The students and faculty members cleaned the streets, drains and back alleys. They inculcated awareness among the local villagers about the need of cleanliness in our life by group counseling, poster displaying, slogan shouting and voluntarily cleaning around the houses of the villagers. Shri Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Vice Chancellor and Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Mishra, Principal, SOA appreciated the students’ efforts in the organization of the social awareness program.
