Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organizes a National Virtual Workshop on ‘Preparation Strategies for GPAT and NIPER’

Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organized a National Virtual Workshop on ‘Preparation Strategies for GPAT and NIPER’ on 10 June, 2021. Prof. (Dr.) M. Kishore Babu, Principal at Krishna Teja Pharmacy College, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India, was the Guest Speaker of the event. His area of interest includes Development of Novel Drug Delivery Systems, Nanotechnology, to mention a few. 120 students have qualified in GPAT under his guidance in the past five years.

The workshop began with an Inaugural Speech delivered by the Organizing Secretary Dr. Tarun Parashar followed by the enlightening words of the Chief Guest of the event, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of the University   Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak. He appreciated the UIPS Team for conducting a workshop on such a knowledgeable and important topic and stressed on the importance of GPAT for better future for students. Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, the Dean – UIPS and Convener of the Event welcomed the guests and the participants along with faculty members on the virtual platform in his Welcome Note.

Prof. (Dr.) M. Kishore Babu explained the strategies for cracking the GPAT and NIPER Exam with proper time management tips. He also explained about the importance and benefits of the GPAT Exam for students and provided the list of important reference books for its preparation. He emphasized on the use of mnemonics to memorize the content in a very easy way.

A Dean Faculty of Gwalior Prof. Dr. A.K. Gnanachandran also addressed the participants. He advised the students to stay optimistic and gave important tips to the attendees. Approximately 400 participants from all over India including Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Rajasthan and Maharashtra attended the workshop. 

The Workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Tarun Parashar, Associate Professor – UIPS.
