Codex Club, Department of Computer Application, Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized “The Big C Challenge” on 20th February, 2019. As the name suggests, this challenge was about “C Programming and its concepts” and aimed to help the students preparing for good placement in future.
Such events enhance the programming skills of the students and also provide the much needed exposure. Such an exposure plays an important role in their placement, as the main criterion for selection in IT Sector is based on “C Programming” skills.
Altogether 80 students from different courses of Computer Application participated in the event which made the event a big success. The event started with a motivating speech delivered by Dr. Pradeep Suri, Director-UIM and Dr. Sonal Sharma HOD-IT.
Dr. Himani Maheshwari was the Faculty Coordinator of the event. The team members included Mr. Sameer Dev Sharma, Ms. Neha Singh, Mr. Praveen Saini and Ms. Prabhjot Kaur. The Student Coordinators for the event were Mr.Nikhil Maurya (MCA-IV), Mr.Rohit Juyal (BCA-II) and Ms. Deepanshi Kalra (BCA-II).
The event comprised of thirty output based questions. Winners and Runner-ups were selected from two categories. Category A comprised of students from First Year and Category B comprised of students from Second Year IT courses.
