GLOBE Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management conducted a Donation Drive, which assembled old stationery items and books, on 20th March, 2018. Through the event, the Club collected and donated books and stationery items to the underprivileged and poor children of slum under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Pradeep Suri (Director-UIM).
Dr. S. M. Mariyam Fatima (HOD – Management) and Dr. Sonal Sharma (HOD – IT) graced the occasion by their benign presence. The activity was supervised by Dr. Mamta Bansal (Head-Globe Club), along with the members of Globe Club, namely Dr. Sidheswar Patra, Mr. C.S. Pandey, Mr. Rohit Dhiman and Ms. Prabhjot Kaur.
Bulk of old stationery items and books were collected from students, staff and faculty members in the period spanning from 20th February 2018 to 20th March 2018. A container of plastic or carton (cardboard box) was placed at every floor in Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM). All items or books which were congregated were distributed to needy, underprivileged and poor children of the slum by the students and volunteers of UIM and GLOBE Club on 20th March, 2018. Entire UIM faculty, staff and students voluntarily took part in the activity and donated the old and unused items.
