The Globe (Global Learning and Observation to Benefit the Environment) Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, under the aegis of Uttaranchal University, organized an inter-college quiz competition on Ozone Week on the theme “Understanding our environment” on 20th September 2021. The objective of this quiz competition was to make the students understand the importance of Ozone layer, environmental sustainability, and create awareness to protect the environment from degradation.
Prof. (Dr) Pradeep Suri- Dean UIM enlightened the students with his words of wisdom and emphasized that we should focus on Sustainable Development for the survival of mankind.
The activity was executed by Dr. Sangeeta Sundriyal along with the members of Globe Club, namely Mr.Rohit Dhiman, Dr. Sunil Shukla ,Dr. Mayank Pant ,Ms. Sonakshi Bhatia and Mr. Deepak Tyagi along with the support of students volunteers from UIM.
The students from different constituent colleges of Uttaranchal University participated in the quiz competition on 20th September 2021.
All the teams participated with full enthusiasm which shows their interest in current environmental issues.
Globe Club is looking forward towards organizing more such events in the near future to strengthen the emotional and mental health of the students and ignite the feelings of compassion towards the welfare and development of the environment and society.
Dr Megha Aggarwal, HOD-Management, Dr. Sonal Sharma, HOD-Computer applications Mr.Manish Baduni, HOD-Hotel Management, Prof. (Dr) Ajay Singh (President Eco-Club, Uttaranchal University and (Prof) Dr. Bharti Ramola (Coordinator Eco –Club) graced the occasion by their benign presence.
