Department of Mechanical Engineering, Uttaranchal University celebrates Teacher’s day organised by the UU-MEC Club which was followed by a Workshop on “Resume Building” on 5th September, 2020 via Google Meet.
The faculty of Mechanical Engineering Department and student participants of the workshop joined online meeting and attended the workshop. Sneha Gupta, of B.Tech. (ME)- 3rd year started the workshop with importance of teachers in the life of students. She emphasised on how teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future. The students thanked all the teachers for encouraging and inspiring them in this pandemic time and for always being in touch with students.
Kuldeep Singh Rawat and Satyam Anand, B.Tech. (ME) Final Year started the workshop which was conducted in 4 phases. First two phases was regarding important contents in resume, difference between resume and C.V., types of resume and where to use them. In next two phases, mini tutorial of making a resume in MS Word and MS PowerPoint was given to the students with sharing some tools like the Office apps online. The workshop included a tutorial on how to build a LinkedIn profile which was followed by a questionnaire by the participants. Deepak Singh Gariya, B.Tech. (ME) 3rd year moderated the chat during the workshop.
The event ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Avnish Kumar, Faculty coordinator of the UU-MEC Club and appreciation speech by the Prof. (Dr.) Muneesh Sethi Directot-UIT and Mr. S.K. Joshi, Head of Mechanical Engineering Department along with other faculty members of the department.
