School of Liberal Arts has organised a one week Faculty Development Programme on the topic ‘NEP 2020 : Inculcating Research Culture in Teaching and Learning Process’ from 17th May 2022 to 23rd May 2022

On the first day of the programme, Dr MSM Rawat, Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education, Uttarakhand was invited as Chief Guest. The FDP was inaugurated by Lamp Lighting by the chief guest Dr Rawat, Hon’ble Chancellor of the University Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice-Chancellor of University Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi and Dean SLA, Dr Shravan Kumar, HoD Mass Communication, Dr Jitendra Sinha. The Chancellor welcomed the guests by offering the saplings. The Welcome Address was delivered by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean SLA who shared the vision and mission of the School of Liberal Arts. Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi addressed the members of faculty and encouraged them to undertake more quality research. Hon’ble Chancellor of the University then offered the motivational words for the gathering. The technical session began with a workshop taken by Dr MSM Rawat workshop on ‘Reforms and Perspectives in Higher Education’ followed by a lecture by Prof (Dr) JP Pachauri. The guests talked about the nuances of the National Education Policy and how universities can implement it to design student-centric pedagogy. The event was closed with a vote of thanks by Mr Paridhi Joshi. The event proved to be a great success. The FDP aimed to highlight the nuances of the National Education Policy and how universities can implement it to design student-centric pedagogy. Through this FDP, the members of faculty were acquainted with the Reforms and Perspectives in Higher Education and were encouraged to undertake more quality research in the field. On a concluding note, DeanSLA proposed a vote of thanks to all the guest speakers and the participants for making it a success. The FDP was coordinated by Dr Reeta Rautela, Headthe School of Liberal Arts, Dr Jitendra Sinha, Head, the Journalism and Mass Communication and Dr Pinky Chugh. All the members of the faculty participated in the FDP.
