Uttaranchal University is observing “Swachhta Pakhwada” (16-31 January, 2020). Sharing the intent, School of Agriculture conducted a one-day Public Awareness Program on the theme of “Water Conservation and Prevention of Wastage of Water” in Kehari Village of Dehardun District on 29th January, 2020.
Under the supervision of Dr. V.K. Srivastava (NSS Coordinator – Uttaranchal University), Mr. Sunil Prakash, Dr. Geeta Gaur and Mr. Jayanti Ballabh the students of School of Agriculture (SOA) created awareness amongst the villagers and farmers regarding the benefits of water conservation & provision of proper drainage system in houses & streets along with methods of rain water harvesting. The students demonstrated to the villagers through posters and slogans that these good practices not only conserve and manage the usage of natural water but also enhances cleanliness.
