Department of Hotel Management, UIM, Uttaranchal university conducted a workshop on Napkin folding on 19/10/2019 inaugurated by Mr. Manish Badoni , HOD- Department of Hotel Management .
Mr. Badoni talked about basic etiquettes to be followed on the table and the importance, uses of Napkin.
Mr. Shashi Kant conducted the workshop attended by BHM students. Session started with the History of Napkins which has been traced back from 13th century from England, Greece and China.
Students came to know about different types, sizes and best material for napkins.
Mr. Kant demonstrated 20 different types of Napkin Folding which included classical folds, modern and formal dinner folds.
The workshop concluded by a small competition in which students had to make one napkin fold within 10 seconds.
