Law College Dehradun organized its intra-collegiate Badminton Competition from 20th September 2018, under the aegis of its Sports Committee. The event was inaugurated by the Principal & Dean of Law College Dehradun, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna and Director-UIM Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri inaugurated the Final Match at UIM building on 18th October, 2018.
Around 100 students registered for the competition. The first knock-out round of girls was held at SALS Building while the first knock-out round of boys was held at UIM Building. After a vigorous match 8 students were selected for the Quarter-Final Round, out of which 4 students made it to the Semi-Finals. Mohit Gupta [B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) – 7th Semester], Aman Negi [B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) – 1st Semester], Ashima Negi [LL.B. (Hons.) – 3rd Semester] and Deeksha Singh [B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) – 5th Semester] were the final participants in boys and girls category respectively. Aman Negi and Diksha Singh played gallantly and emerged as Winners after a strenuous match, while Mohit Gupta and Ashima Negi were the Runners up of the event. All the players showed their determination and confidence and competed fiercely giving their best performance.
