Women Cell of Uttaranchal Institute of Management under the aegis of Cultural and Events Committee, Uttaranchal University, organized an intra departmental event ‘Collage Making Competition’ on the theme ‘Women Entrepreneurship’ on the occasion of ‘International Literacy Day’ on 8th Sept 2021 at the UIM Foyer.
Activity was conducted in UIM Foyer and comprised of two members per team. All ten teams had put up their ideas on a chart paper in the form of a collage depicting women entrepreneurship and their contributions to the society as successful entrepreneurs. Teams showcased a level of creativity and visualization in portraying their ideas with a competitive spirit and their role in the society as a successful entrepreneur, their struggles, their backgrounds and how they have carved a niche for themselves in their respective fields of business. Further teams discussed that today women are holding a prominent place in the society and their role as a contributor to the economy of the country is indispensable. The competition was tough as every team had a unique creative style of putting up the concept of women entrepreneurship on the collage. Judges for the event were Dr. Archana Saxena, Dr. Himani Maheshwari and Mr. Manish Badoni.
Students participated from various courses of management and Computer Applications. Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, graced the event with his benign presence and motivated the students to participate with zest and confidence. He stressed on the role of women in the society and both men and women are like two wings of a bird. Equal contribution of both is important to run the economy effectively. He applauded the preparation of the students for the activity and congratulated the winners. Other faculty members also applauded the efforts of the teams in displaying their creativity. Ms. Prerna Yadav of BBA III Semester compeered the event flawlessly. Dr. Deepa Bisht, Head – Women Cell, planned and executed the entire activity along with the other members of the Women Cell and declared the winners at the culmination of the event.

Winner – Ms. Shivi Chaudhary and Deepansha Arora from B.COM (H) Third Semester
First Runner Up – Ms. Preeti Jangra and Aarti Jangra from B.COM (H) Third Semester
Second Runner Up – Mr. Ayush Nautiyal and Mr. Animitra Sharma from BSc IT Third Semester
The event was a huge success and attended by Dr Sonal Sharma HOD-Dept of Computer Application , Dr Megha Aggarwal HOD-Management, Mr. Manish Badoni HOD-Hotel Management, Dr Ashulekha Gupta DIQAC and Mr. Abhishek Kumar Pathak Head-(Cultural and Academics Events).
