In order to make students industry ready, Faculty of Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM) conducted a five-day “Value Added Programme” for its final year post graduate students of Management and Computer Application Department. The programme started on 3rd August’2017 and culminated on 9th August’2017. The focus of the programme was majorly on personality enhancement and development of employability skills.
The programme started with a welcome note byDirector (UIM), Dr. PradeepSuri. He conducted a session on Business Etiquette.Sessions on CV Writing, GD Skills, QT, Language Enhancement and Aptitude Skills were conducted by Training and Placement team, namely, Mr. Jitendra, Ms. Kanchan, Mr.Vibhor, and Mr. Rachit. Session on Email writing was conducted jointly by Dr. Sonal Sharma and Ms. Madhu Arora. Employability Skillssessions were conducted by Dr. Pradeep Suri, Mr. Jitendraand Dr. Sonal Sharma. Sessions on Personality Enhancement were conducted by Ms. MadhuArora. Personal Counselling and mock GD/PI sessions were facilitated by Dr. Sonal Sharma, Dr. SM. M. Fatima, Mr Bipin Kandpal and Ms. Madhu Arora.
The programme was a great success with the enthusiastic participation of all the students and the support of faculty fraternity. The programme imparted deeper learning and understanding of industry requirements to its participants.
