Faculty Orientation Programme on Quality enhancement in Teaching and Learning

School of Applied and Life Sciences conducted a Faculty, Induction and Orientation Programme on ‘Quality enhancement in Teaching and Learning, for the newly inducted faculty members in the school on 18-19 July 2022.

The main aim of the programme is to help newly appointed faculties to understand their roles and responsibility in the new environment. They familiarize themselves with the structure, functioning, rules, regulations, and professional expectations of the institute.

The faculty members were addressed by Dean, Applied and Life Sciences, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh who explained the importance of self-development in terms of research, punctuality in the classroom, and providing a supporting role for students as their mentors. He further distributed responsibilities to all faculty members regarding various committees and other academic responsibilities.

The new faculty members were also shown all the classrooms and laboratories in the SALS- Block and were made familiar with the ERP portal of the University. They were given instructions by their respective Program Coordinators in their respective departments. The event was coordinated by Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola. All faculty members of SALS were present on the occasion.
