On the occasion of “World Radio Day” Media Club, under the aegis of Department of Communication, SLA, organized a Guest Lecture on the topic ‘Role of radio in education’ on 13th February, 2021. Mr. Anil Dutt Sharma (IIS) was the eminent speaker of the event. Mr. Anil Dutt Sharma has a massive work exposure in the field of radio. Currently he is working as Field Publicity Officer, Ministry of Information, Government of India.
The lecture started at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Jitendra Sinha, Head of the Department – Department of Communication, SLA, welcomed the guest with a bouquet. Mr. Anil Dutt Sharma mesmerized all the students with his extraordinary teaching skills. The lecture was more like an interactive session wherein the students asked about how to make their career in the field of Radio Broadcasting. He told the students about the means & methods of attaining good knowledge of the world and current affairs. He also shared some of his past experiences. He further guided on the ways of facing the challenges of media field. He stated that a fresher in the field of media should start their media career with print media so that they can understand the news and writing style. He gave examples of best radio commentators and their radio journeys. He gave some tips and ideas to students on attaining sustainability in the field of mass media.
