Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University, in collaboration with Rotary Club Dehradun, organized ‘Blankets and Cloth Donation Drive’ for the benefit of downtrodden people in slums near Nanda ki Chowki area of Dehradun. The event was organized under the aegis of Rotaract Club of Law College Dehradun (RCLCD).
Under the worthy guidance and leadership of Prof.(Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Dean- Law College Dehradun, collection drive was started in the campus on 8th and 9th February, 2021. During the drive hundreds of winter cloths and blankets were donated by the faculty members and students of Law College Dehradun. Rotary Club of Dehradun also contributed some blankets and encouraged the students to help the poor and needy. The distribution drive took place on 15th February 2021. The drive was led by Mr. Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor, LCD and Faculty Advisor of RCLCD along with Rtr. Ananya Gosain, President – RCLCD and Rtr. Neetu Banduni, Secretary – RCLCD. Many students of Law College Dehradun came forward and volunteered in the distribution drive.
Our little actions can truly have the power to light up the lives of others and we are grateful beyond measure to have contributed to bringing about a positive change in the lives of those in need. This act of generosity and kindness reflected the social consciousness of Law College Dehradun.
