A Guest Lecture on ‘Application of Limit in Calculus’ was organized on 16th September, 2021 by the Department of Mathematics, School of Applied & Life Sciences. Dr U S Rana, Professor, Department of Mathematics, DAV PG College, Dehradun, was the Guest Speaker. Prof V K Srivastava, Professor and Head of Department Mathematics, introduced the Guest Speaker and the topic of session to the students, and invited Prof Rana to deliver his lecture. Prof Rana in his address described the role of limit in the calculus by giving numerous examples. He further, elaborated on the various ways in which real life practical problems could be solved with the application of Limit in Calculus. He especially focused on the topics related to limits, continuity and differentiability of real functions. Prof Ajay Singh, Dean SALS, Prof V K Srivastava, Head, Department of Mathematics, and the Faculty Members of Department of Mathematics were present during the session.
