A workshop on ‘Every Day Application of Mathematics’ was organized by Department of Mathematics, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), Uttaranchal University on 03 November, 2015.
The event proceeded with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Dr. V.K. Srivastava, Dr. Shankar Lal, Dr. U.S. Rana. The main objective of this one day workshop was to promote the applications of mathematics in every day real life.
Dr. V.K. Srivastava (Head, Department of Mathematics) welcomed the dignitaries and introduced the guest to the students. He emphasized upon the importance of conducting such events for the students. Experts initiated presentations real life applications of mathematics in various field of Science, engineering & technology and also in daily life of human. They imparted the working knowledge of different tools and techniques of mathematics in applied science & engineering.
The seminar turned out to be a huge success with active support of Dr. Rakesh Bhadula, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Mr. Prateek Goyal, Ms. Anu Suyal and Ms. Dipika Saxena. In this workshop 69 students were participated.
