Under the aegis of Women Cell, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, an online Poetry Competition based on the theme ‘Women Empowerment’ was organized on 20th May, 2021. The students of various programmes of UIM enthusiastically participated in the event.
The event started with the address of Dean – UIM Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri who motivated and appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them for participating in such literary events in future. This, he asserted, will enhance the creativity amongst the students and will improve their communication and presentation skills.
Dr. Deepa Bisht , Head – Women Cell, introduced the dignitaries and later thanked them for gracing the event via Vote of Thanks at the culmination of the activity.
Ten students participated in the event. The students came up with different poems on the theme “Women Empowerment” and recited them. Students were judged on the parameters like Content, Originality, Relevance to the theme, Artistic Composition. Their poems touched almost every aspect of life.
The young poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and memory skill while reciting the poems. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence through stage exposure. Everyone was delighted after seeing their pleasing performances.
The event was a success and was attended by HOD-Management Dr. Amitabh Bhargava, Cultural Head Mr. Abhishek Kumar Pathak along with other faculty members and students of UIM.
