Uttaranchal University paid heart-felt tribute to the Martyrs of Galwan Valley on 17th June, 2020. Officials and Faculty Members of the University arrived at the ‘Shaurya Dewar – the Wall of Heroes’ and offered flowers while observing social distancing norms in letter and spirit. Slogans were raised in honour of our martyred soldiers. The entire campus echoed with patriotic slogans and sentiments. The venue witnessed deep anguish against China and deep reverence for the soldiers. Everyone at the campus was observed cursing China while praising the courage and valour of our brave soldiers.
Hon’ble Chancellor of the University, Shri. Jitender Joshi offered his condolences towards the soldiers who made supreme sacrifice for the motherland. “History will always remember our valiant warriors” he asserted. Officiating Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna stated that the fellow countrymen should keep their morale high in this hour of war like situation.
