As a precursor to the launch of the 150th birth year celebration of Mahatma Gandhi and in the run up to the 4th Anniversary of Swachha Bharat Mission ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ was observed from 15th September to 2nd October 2018.
Under this mission the NSS Wing of the Uttaranchal University celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and concluded the observance of ‘Swachhta hi Seva’ by organizing a one-day camp based at a nearby location of Premnagar on 2nd October, 2018.
Hon’ble Chancellor of Uttaranchal University Mr. Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi flagged off the event for the ,student members and faculty members of the University towards their destination.
The Camp was conducted under the guidance of Dr. V.K. Srivastava the NSS Coordinator of the University. Dr. Srivastava motivated the students and described the benefits of planting trees, methods of reducing pollution, alternative of plastics and different aspects that make our social and moral values stronger.
Prof. Ajay Singh, Principal – SALS, Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Co-Coordinator NSS – Uttaranchal University, Mr. Atma Nand, Dr. Mohit Kumar, Dr. Shalu Chaudhary and Ms. Dipika Saxena were present on the occasion.
