NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University observed Martyr’s Day on 30 January, 2019. It paid homage to the sacrifices made by Mahatma Gandhi and countless other freedom fighters in the struggle for India’s Independence. The students and staff of the University observed a two-minute silence on the day remembering the brave martyrs and their relentless efforts in the freedom struggle. The students were also enlightened about the significance of the day and its annual observance to honor those who gave up their lives for their beloved nation. NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University also believed that we should pay tribute to such heroes of the nation who sacrificed their lives for independence and hence, carried the event.
