With the aim of developing technical and coding skills in the students Uttaranchal University Computer Science Society (UUCSS) organized “CODEBYTE 2.0″ on 12th October, 2019. The event was organized under the guidance and support provided by the Head of CSE Department Dr. Sunil Ghildiyal and the Society Coordinator Mr.Parag Verma.
The event started with the Inaugural Ceremony held in the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K Joshi and entire CSE Department. The Welcome Speech was delivered by Sweta Singh (Acting-Secretary) wherein she acknowledged the guests, faculty members and students. The speech was followed by a presentation delivered by Kartikey Manan (Acting-President) which described the Society, its foundation, its structure, alumni and events to be organized. President of the Society Mr. Ayush Sharma expressed his gratitude towards Hon’ble Vice Chancellor for always being supportive.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K Joshi motivated the students to be more innovative and creative. He also advised them to be more active in extra-curricular activities especially those which enhance their knowledge and skills.
The Inaugural Ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks followed by “CODEBYTE 2.0”. Online compiler “HACKER EARTH” was used the event. It consisted of 3 rounds, namely, MCQ Based Questions Round, Basic Coding Round and Real Life Competitive Coding Round.
More than 120 students [from BCA, B.Sc. (IT) and CSE] participated in the event which was conducted separately for First Year and Second-Third Year (on two difficulty levels).
The whole event was successfully managed by Anushka Agarwal with the help of Shivam Balodi, Kiran Bisht and Riya Rana. All the technical aspects were looked upon by Uttam Mittal and Vishesh Kumar Dubey.
The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony in the presence of HOD and Faculty Members of CSE Department. Prizes and Mementoes were distributed to the winners.

All the participants were praised for their presence, participation, support and discipline throughout the event and all the Society Members were encouraged and appreciated by the Faculty Members. The program was highly informative for the students.
