Uttaranchal University Central Library organized an Essay Competition on the topic ‘Struggles and Sacrifices made by our Freedom Fighters for Independent India’ to celebrate “World Book & Copyright Day” on 23 April, 2021. It aimed to enable the students to realize the struggles and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters for achieving the goal of Independent India and also to inculcate the spirit of patriotism in them.
Specially keeping in view “World book & Copyright Day” students were informed about originality in work and the essays received were subjected to plagiarism check, as it is the prime objective behind the celebration of “World Book & Copyright Day”, an event annually organized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
The winners of the Essay Writing Competition were as follows:
First Position – Ms. Aditi Harsh / B.A.LL.B- II Semester / Law College Dehradun
Second Position – Mr. Himeshwer Sen / B.Pharma.- II Semester / UIPS
Third Position – Ms. Aastha Rastogi/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture IV Semester / School of Agriculture
