An Industry Academia Meet entitled “Role of Engineers in Society” was organized by Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University on 6th September, 2019.
Mr. Harindra Kumar Garg, Chairman of SIDCUL Manufacturers Association of Uttarakhand and Chief Patron of Quality Circle Form of India-Haridwar Centre and Mr. Anand Babu Pushparaj, a seasoned Strategic Relationship Manager with 13 years of rich experience across various organizations, were the Resource Persons.
The event proceeded with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Mr. Harindra Kumar Garg, Mr. Anand Babu Pushparaj and Dr. Sumit Chaudhary (Director, UIT). The Inaugural Ceremony initiated with the recital of the University Anthem followed by the felicitation of the dignitaries.
Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi briefed the students regarding the impact of latest technologies such as Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics and the like in current society culture.
Mr. Harindra Kumar Garg briefed the students regarding the significance of the program and motivated all the engineering students. He informed the students about the industry (SIDCUL).
Mr. Anand Babu Pushparaj gave a presentation on SMACI (Social media, Mobile, Analytics, Cloud and IoT). He elaborated the prospects of SMACI.
SMACI is called the future enterprise technology. Nevertheless, the process of exploitation of this technology has already kicked in. It is redefining the IT solutions available in the ecosystem by delivering a holistic service backed by the unification of multiple disruptive technology enablers and entrepreneurial approaches.
The meet concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Sumit Chaudhary (Director,UIT).
