Law College Dehradun celebrated Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s 131st birth anniversary as Teacher’s Day under the aegis of Cultural Committee of the college on 5th September 2019, with great fun and enthusiasm. Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday is celebrated as Teacher’s Day every year in a memorable way and the student’s pay respect to their teachers through various cultural performances. This day aims to value and acknowledge the contribution of the teaching fraternity in shaping the young minds.
The event began with a ‘Ganesh Vandana’ followed by a Garhwali Group Dance by Kanishk Negi & Group. The solo performance by Sanvidha was enthralling. This was followed by a skit by the Dramatics Club of the college which highlighted the contribution of a teacher in a student’s life. Solo Dance and Singing Performance by Rahul and Yah& Nishant was wonderful. The Dandia Dance, a colorful performance by Prithvi and group gave a picturesque view of Mathura. Bollywood Dance by Tanisha and Group was very lively and polished which made the audience tap to the beats. Shantanu &Shristi captivated the audience with their mellifluous voice while the Bangra Dance by Anish Kaur & Group exhibited a vibrant and exuberant performance. The event was well coordinated and anchored by Nikhil Chaudhary and Pratima Rana.
Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna Dean & Principal of Law College Dehradun in his speech appreciated and acknowledged Head – Cultural Committee Ms. Kanchan Anand and the participants for their laudable organization of the event. He also added that the day brought out the creativity of the students and one could feel the vibrancy and reverence of the students towards the faculty members. He also deliberated that the program was a sheer honor to the teachers for their hard work and endless contribution to a student’s educational life. The occasion was enjoyed by all the teaching fraternity of Law College Dehradun and its students.
