We celebrate World Environment Day on June 5 every year. The day encourages awareness and observes its protection. Since 1974, World Environment Day has been celebrated, engaging governments, businesses and citizens to address pressing environmental issues, with participation from over 143 countries annually. But in these tough times when we are enforced to stay home, UIT is still in lead for the World Environment Day celebration.
Students of UIT, namely, Manika Mahindera, Pragyanshu Aryan, Ashita Aswal, Shivam Balodi organized a virtual meet wherein they asked the faculty members to share their valuable views and create awareness among the students.
The event started with the words of wisdom delivered by Dean – UIT Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey. This was followed by the enlightening address of Dr. Minakshi Memoria, Head – Computer Science Department.
Thereafter all the attendees delivered their presentations on World Environment Day followed by a presentation of all the posters and pictures sent by the participants by the organizer of the event.
The host concluded the event with beautiful and informative words followed by the recital of the National Anthem.
