Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organizes an Awareness Program on COVID-19 on 16th August, 2021 on the occasion of reopening of university for students.The program was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean – UIPS. He emphasized on the origin, pathogenesis, prevention and cure of COVID-19.
The main aim of the awareness campaign was to strictly follow the COVID- 19 protocols and to make students aware about the safety measures to be taken in the university to avoid the spread of pandemic. The campaign was started by the students of pharmacy under the guidance of faculty members Mr. Ashish Dimri, Dr.Ankit Sharma, Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal and Mrs. Nidhi Gairola from the main entrance of the University gate and Police Chowki, Premnagar by distribution of mask and sanitizer to the Visitors, Supervisors, Guards, Policemen and students of the university.
Students of B.Pharm explained about the precautionary measures like wearing mask, washing hands, maintaining social distancing, use of sanitizers, avoid shaking hands, kissing, and hugging for the safety of their loved ones, family members.People were also encouraged for vaccination against the contagious disease. The event was successfully conducted by the pharmacology club of UIPS.
