Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a poster Competition on International Ozone Day on 16 September 2022. The event was organised by the Students Club: Guard of Greens. The main objective of the event was to encourage students to exhibit their knowledge, presentation skills, and innovative ideas as well as to create social and environmental awareness among students. Total 30 posters have been displayed by participants. Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean Student Welfare was the judge for the competition. Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Dean UIPS welcomed all the participants and encouraged the students to exhibit their knowledge, presentation skills and innovative ideas. Students have made beautiful posters representing the importance of the ozone layer in the atmosphere and how it had been damaged over decades mainly due to human activities. All the participants nicely explained the thought behind each poster. The events were organized by Dr Tarun Parashar, Co-ordinator, Guard of Greens Club along with student Co-ordinators, Neha Singh and Jyoti Rautela along with Mrs Poonam Joshi and Mr Praveen Semwal, Faculty members The event ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr Amit Semwal, HoD, UIPS, he applauded the creativity and presentation of the students for the activity and congratulated the winners.
