Women Cell of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized a guest lecture on the topic “Importance of Personal Hygiene” on the occasion of ‘International Women’s Day 08th March, 2022. Dr Anjali Pant Assistant professor/consultant, Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga, Shivalik Institute of Ayurveda and research was the guest of the event.
The event was initiated with the inaugural address by Dean, UIPS, Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola. He stated that International Women’s Day is a celebration of all women around the globe and the achievements that have been accomplished. Dr Anjali Pant delivered her lecture on the practice of personal hygiene for helping to keep the body healthy and clean. She told about the different types of hygiene, self-care routines, and what may happen if hygiene practices lapse. The lecture was very interactive. The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs Pallavi Ghildiyal. The event was coordinated by Mrs Pallavi Ghildiyal and Mrs Alka Singh Assistant Professor UIPS. Around 45 girl students participated in the event.
