Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organized an ‘Awareness Programme’ to celebrate “National Voters’ Day” on 25th January, 2019. The programme was organized with an aim to empower young and future voters.
The presentation of Ms. Annanya Pandit & Ms. Shivani Tyagi from B.Pharm. II Year was highly appreciated by the audience. The Presentation encouraged the students and created awareness among the youngsters to vote for their right.
Shivani said, “Voting is not only our right but also need and duty.” While speaking, she stressed that voting was a way of expression of opinion and brings the change required for a better tomorrow. One Person, One Vote is a fundamental right and one must completely use it because it is our vote which is going to make a lot of difference.
Ms. Annanya Pandit said, “The young voters should vote and know their ethical values and choose the government accordingly.”
Dr Anuj Mittal, Director – UIPS, motivated the students to use their Right to Vote as youth’s participation in political process would strengthen Indian Democracy. He urged the young students to make their Voter I-Cards and make use of it by voting.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Anuj Mittal, who expressed his gratitude towards Mrs. Alka Singh (Coordinator), the Organizing Committee and the students for organizing the event and making it a success.
