Uttaranchal Institute of Management, a constituent institute of the Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized the First Phase (intra-collegiate) of Literary Fest-2019 on 21st October, 2019. This phase consisted of three literary events, viz., Debate Competition, Just-a-Minute (impromptu expression on the given topic) and Poem Recitation (with actions). The prime objective of this fest was to bring forth student’s linguistic abilities. However, this first phase was also the Elimination Round to select the final participants per event who will be representing the institute in the Grand Finale of the event in Fest at university-level.
All the three events witnessed stupendous participation of students from various courses of UIM. Performances were showcased with great enthusiasm while their reverence was maintained simultaneously. The results of all the three events are as follows:

The activities were well-synchronized and conducted by the volunteers, namely, Mansi Kapoor and Lovely Kashyap, both from B.Com. (Honours) Third Year. Further, the overall setting from décor to making necessary arrangements for the judges of all three events was done by the immaculate efforts of the students from BBA Third Year, namely, Sheeba Parveen, Aparna Chaudhary, Alfia Ansari, Ashutosh Jha, Abhishek Yadav and Rupal Sehgal.
In all, the event was a success, by virtue of continuous guidance from Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director UIM, Dehradun, along with the coordinated contributions of all members including faculty, namely, Mr. Nishant Chaturvedi and Ms. Sangeeta Sundriyal throughout the fest.
