Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized a Seminar on ‘Logistics Management’ on February 27, 2019.The Keynote Speakers were Mr. Hemant Kumar, Head – Training and Development (Om Logistics Ltd.) and Mr. Chirag Sehgal, Manager – Training and Placement(Om Logistics Ltd.). Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Director-UIM, was the Guest of Honour of the event.
The Seminar was attended by the Faculty Members of UIM and 2nd and 3rd Year students of Management Courses. The Speakers described in detail the meaning of Logistics Management and its key points. They explained the career prospects in this area. Later, they addressed the queries raised by the faculty and the students.
They further informed that the company had also established ‘Om Institute of Logistics and Supply Chain Management’ for the benefit of the students desiring to undergo a one-year course in this field. They also assured the students placement in the company commensurate with their skill and aptitude.
