Uttaranchal Institute of Management conducts the ‘Second’ and ‘Third’ phase of ‘Shiksha Daan’ Activity

In continuation with its resolution to educate young students about the issues like health, hygiene and environment, GLOBE Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management conducted the II and III phase of the ‘Shiksha Daan’ Activity on 14th September, 2019 and 21st September, 2019 respectively in ‘Akhil Bhartiya Mahila Ashram’, Dehradun.

The activity was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri (Director, UIM) and was executed with the coordinated efforts of the entire GLOBE Club Members, namely, Mr. Rohit Dhiman, Mr. Mayank Pant, Ms. Sangeeta Sundriyal, Ms. Anu Suyal, Dr. Deepa Bisht and Dr. Monisha Awasthi, with the support of Mr. Ravindra Singh Rawat (Head– Cultural & Academic Affairs).

The event was conducted in collaboration with a Dehradun-based NGO ‘Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti’ with the support of Shri. Vinayak Sharma (President, Jai Youth Wing of the Society), his team-members and the Principal of the school.

In view of ‘World Ozone Day’, on 14th September, 2019, the student volunteers of UIM interacted with the school students and educated them via Interactive Classroom Sessions about the ‘Ozone Layer’, its significance and environment awareness so that the students become alert in the matter.

On 21st September, 2019, the student volunteers of UIM interacted with the school students of above mentioned school and educated them via Interactive Classroom Sessions about the increasing problem of ‘Waste’, its harmful impacts on the environment and possible mitigating measures like disposal of bio-degradable and non-biodegradable materials separately. It was followed by sports activities.
