To mark the occasion of Children’s Day on 14th November, 2017, the students of Uttaranchal Institute of Management donated clothes to the underprivileged. The activity was initiated by the members of GLOBE Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management. The members collected a sum of Rupees 20/- from the students of UIM and purchased woollen clothes, these clothes were distributed among the children of labourers working within the University campus and nearby areas.
The activity was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Pardeep Suri (Director –UIM), Dr. S M Mariyam Fatima (HOD-Management), Dr. Sonal Sharma (HOD-IT), Mr. Ravindra Singh Rawat (Head- Cultural & Academic Club) and Dr. Mamta Bansal (Head -GLOBE Club, UIM).
Such activities strengthen the emotional health of the students and ignite among them compassion for the deprived.
