‘Creative Creature Club’ of Department of Computer Application, Uttaranchal Institute of Management conducted the Preliminary Round of “Poster Making Competition” on 23rd November, 2017. Creative events act like a catalyst and initiate the thought process of the students. Besides, it also promotes team work and competitive spirit among the students.
The Preliminary Round was a theme-based competitive round including themes such as ‘Artificial Intelligence’, ‘Cloud Computing’, ‘Cancer Awareness’, ‘Internet of Things’, ‘Digital India’, ‘Cashless Economy’, ‘Big Data’, ‘Cyber Security’ and ‘E-Waste Management’.
About 100 students from different courses of Computer Application and Management participated in the event which made the event a huge success. The event commenced with an energizing speech delivered by Dr. Pradeep Suri (Director – UIM). Thereupon, Dr. Sonal Sharma (Head – Department of Computer Application) motivated the students with her belief that “Creativity stimulates the mind”.
The jury comprised of Dr. Pradeep Suri, Dr. Sonal Sharma, Dr. S. Patra and Mrs. Pooja Gupta. The posters were evaluated on different criteria which were allotted 10 marks each. The evaluation criteria were Content, Overall Neatness, Creativity, Relevancy, Message Given and Color Harmony. On the basis of judgment and score top 20 groups were selected for the next round.
The Preliminary Round of “Poster Making Competition” was coordinated by Mr. Sameer Dev Sharma & Ms. Himani Maheshwari (Faculty Coordinators) and Vipul Negi & Shubham Tiwari (Student Coordinators).
