Uttaranchal College of Journalism & Mass Communication organized a Faculty Development Program on Research Methodology from 28th December 2018 to 12 January 2019
The program was inaugurated on 28thDecember by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi.
The program was attended by Dr. Mukesh Bora (Head – Uttaranchal College of Journalism & Mass Communication) with faculty members of UCJMC and other colleges under Uttaranchal University.
Mr. Anjum Pervez (Assistant Professor, Law College Dehradun), Mr. Ujjawal Kumar (Assistant Professor, Law College Dehradun) and Mr. Vaibhav Uniyal (Assistant Professor, Law College Dehradun) were the Resource Person of the FDP Program.
Before starting the session Dr. Mukesh Bora felicitated Hon’ble Chancellor of the University Shri Jitender Joshi and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi Thereafter all the dignitaries were invited to light the auspicious the lamp followed by the recital of the University Kulgeet.
In his address, Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi welcomed all the participants and emphasized on the need of Faculty Development Programs and the need of research for the growth and development of the University and the nation as a whole.He said the broader objective of the program is to improve the quality of faculty members which will in turn benefit the students.
Dr. Mukesh Bora addressed the audience emphasizing on the significance of such FDPs. He also said that this Faculty Development Program on ‘Research Methodology’ aimed to inculcate and enhance the abilities of the faculty members to carry out independent research, write successful research projects, and finally to enable them for the technical communication considering national/international journal/conferences. The FDP emphasized both research process and data analysis. It aimed to help to master the research process and strengthen data analysis skills.Dr. Mukesh Bora concluded his address by proposing the Vote of Thanks.
