School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University organized an interactive virtual workshop on “The New You” on Oct 22nd, 2021 at 2:30 PM. It session was inaugurated by the virtual lamp lighting by the Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi followed by welcome note by Dean-SLA, Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar and Prof Kumar encouraged the students to actively participate in the workshop to understand the role of ‘image enhancement’. The concept note of the workshop was deliberated by Ms Swati Singh. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi fascinated the audience by talking about the importance of Soft Skills and its implications in new normal life. He reiterated the idea of ‘The New You’ and the importance of Personality Development in the life of a student and in academics, which help in preparing the professional world.
Dr Eeshani Saraswat, Assistant Director, Amity Finishing School, Noida, Ms Karishma Nath, Training and Development Consultant and Ms Oajasvi Parmar, Soft Skills Corporate Trainer discussed various aspects of Kinesics, Brand Imaging and familiarize the students with industry etiquette. This workshop enriched the understanding of complex social behaviour and enhanced the functioning in a work-setting. It was an overall enriching learning experience for the audience. The event was received with much enthusiasm and adulation from the students and the post-workshop feedback ensured their interest in developing fresh skills shared by the trainers.
