The Sports Committee of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology organized an Inter-College Sports Event on 6th December, 2017. Tug of War and Marathon witnessed a huge participation. The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Mr. Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Joshi, Director-Student Affairs and IT Services Dr. Abhishek Joshi, and Director- UIT Prof. (Dr.) Badhai Lonia.
Both the Competitions were organized in two categories – Boys and Girls. The decision regarding the Competing Teams was finalized by Mr. Sanjeev Sharma (Assistant Professor- Department of Computer Science and Engineering) through draw and hence scheduled accordingly. More than 100 students from all the constituent colleges of Uttaranchal University participated in the event.
This sports event was organized and managed by Mr. Tarun Kumar, Sports Coordinator- UIT, Mr. Sanjeev Sharma (Assistant Professor- Department of Computer Science and Engineering), Mr. Amit Kumar Pal (Assistant Professor-Department of Mechanical Engineering), Mr. Ajay Tewari (Assistant Professor- Department of Civil Engineering). Mrs. Nishi Chachra, Ms. Shruti Sharma along with other faculty members and students were also present on the occasion.
