A Guest Lecture on “Cloud Computing and Recent Trends” was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, for the faculty members and the students of B.Tech, in the Computer Center on 6th December, 2017. The Expert Speaker of the lecture was Dr. Mayank Aggarwal, Head- Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Gurukul Kangri University, Haridwar. His specialization is in the field of Cloud Computing and has more than 13 years of experience in academics.Dr. B. Lonia, Director- Uttaranchal Institute of Technology welcomed and felicitated Dr. Mayank Aggarwal with a memento and a certificate.
In his lecture, Dr. Aggarwal discussed the basic concepts regarding cloud as well as the advancements in this field. He also introduced the participants to many exclusive examples and challenges which are often faced by the researcher while working on cloud computing. He shared his own experiences on how and why he started working in this field, he also discussed the enabling technologies, features of cloud providers and different deployment models of cloud. In the concluding part he extended his warm wishes to Dr. Manoj Diwakar (Head- Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and his team and expressed his hope for more such interactions in future.
