Problem of the Moot was based on amendment in the Consumer Protection Act. Under which the Centre Legislature had amended the definition of services under the Act so as to include Advocates within the ambit of consumer protection Act. The same was challenged at Supreme Court. After screening round, quarter final and semi final 2 teams argued today for final.
Team consisting of Saumya Gaur, Isha and Vaishnavi Agarwal was declared winner as well as best memorial whereas team consisting of Anjan Sahu, Snigdha Tiwari & Subhi Trivedi was declared Runnerup. Saumya Gaur was declared best Mooter. Cash awards of more than 20,000 rupees were distributed to the winners by the Chancellor of the University Shri Jitendra Joshi.
Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Civil Judge (Senior Division) Shri Kuldeep Sharma and Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Principal & Dean, LCD, were Judges in the final round.
