‘South Indian Cuisine’ & ‘Theme Luncheon’ on November 8, 2019 

Department of Hotel Management conducted a Workshop on ‘South Indian Cuisine’ followed by ‘Theme Luncheon’ on 8th November, 2019.

The Workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Director – Student Affairs and IT Services. In his Inaugural Speech Dr. Joshi said that cooking is all about people and food has the power to bring everyone together. It brings different cultures together and is the best way to understand and know each other.

Mr. Manish Badoni ,HOD, DEPARTMENT OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT addressed students and informed them about South Indian Cuisine wherein he said that South Indian foods are one of the most healthy foods. Fermented batters for breakfast foods are very easy to digest.

The Workshop was conducted by Chef Hitendra Singh Chauhan. Under his guidance the students of BHM cooked a number of food items including Rasam, Vada, Idli, Masala Dosa, Lemon Rice, Uttapam, Sambhar, Nariyal Chutney and Mint & Tomato Chutney.

Theme Luncheon was organized by the students of BHM under the guidance of Mr. Shashi Kant and Mr. Surendra Bhakuni. Students converted their Training Restaurant into a Theme Restaurant using decorative props representing South India.

The Workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Manish Badoni.
