Seven Alumni and one faculty member of LCD crack the Judicial Examination of India and Abroad

Law College Dehradun had an ecstatic moment on 21st July 2019 as one faculty member and seven students of the college cracked Judicial Services Examination. All the members of the college including the Principal &Dean Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, faculty members and the management of Uttaranchal University were in high spirits enjoying the triumphant moment. It was a special day marking the accomplishment and achievement as seven members cracked U.P. Judicial Services Examination while one student hit the Nepal Judiciary Service Examination.

Mr. Naved Akhtar, a faculty of Law College Dehradun and one among the total selected aspirants was accorded a grand felicitation in the campus. Speaking on the occasion Principal & Dean Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna stated that a total of 34 aspirants from the college have so far been selected as judges in various Judicial Services Examinations of the country and abroad. Among them, 30 have been selected in Indian Judiciary, 1 in Nepal Judiciary, 2 are appointed as Judge Advocate General in Indian Army and 1 in Indian Navy. He quoted that it was a vindication of the tremendous tread made by the college academically.

Hon’ble Chancellor of the University Shri Jitender Joshi congratulated the selected students as well as the faculty member of the college. He expressed that it is a matter of immense pride and satisfaction that the students of the college are giving their exceptional services in the Indian Army, the Indian Navy as well as the Indian and the Nepalese Judiciary. He added that it is indeed a great source of inspiration for other aspirants striving towards their goal.
