A 14-days Faculty Development Program on “Techniques for Effective Class Handling” was organized by Department of Hotel Management from 08th July to 23rd July, 2019.
It was inaugurated on 08th July by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K Joshi and attended by Director-UIM, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri and Mr. Manish Badoni, HOD – Department of Hotel Management, UIM along with faculty members of UIM and different colleges.
Prof. (Dr.) Shriya Goyal, Dean-School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, Mr. Komil Kumar, Asst. Professor, Hari Institute of Technology, Saharanpur, UP and Dr. Pinki Chugh Asst. Professor, College of Engineering Roorkee (COER), Uttarakhand were the Resource Persons.
Mr. Surendra Singh Bhakuni was the Master of Ceremony. In the outset, Dr. Pradeep Suri felicitated Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi. Thereafter, the dignitaries were invited to light the auspicious lamp followed by the recital of the University Kulgeet. In his address, Prof. (Dr.) N.K Joshi welcomed all the participants and emphasized upon the need of such programmes for the overall growth of faculty members. He emphasized upon the need of such programmes for the over-all growth of faculty members and expressed his conviction that such programmes add value to their stature.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri addressed the audience regarding the significance of such FDPs and explained how they can help the faculty members in their growth ultimately leading to institutional development. He emphasized that research orientation is a pre-requisite for their personal advancement. Prof. Suri concluded his address by proposing a Vote of Thanks towards one and all present.
