The United Nations has declared 2021-2030 as the Decade on Ecosystem Restoration with the slogan of “Reimagine, Recreate, Restore” to prevent, halt and reverse the degradation of ecosystems on every continent and in every ocean.
In order to celebrate this spirit and mark ‘World Environment Day’, School of Liberal Arts, Uttaranchal University, organized a virtual event of Slogan Writing Competition on 5th June, 2021. The students of SLA participated in the same and submitted their entries as videos. School of Liberal Arts endeavoured to create awareness about the theme of UN Decade and other significant issues related to environment and sustainable living.
All the students gave delightful presentations of their works. The medium was bilingual for the speakers. The slogans in the videos were well-constructed and held the essence of Environment Day.
This video presentation session proceeded with a Vote of Thanks that was gracefully extended by the Dean-SLA, Prof. (Dr.) Shriya Goyal. She offered gratitude to the organizers of the fruitful event. All the organizers of the event were praised for their constant dedication and hard-work, compiling the elements of the event. The entire event was very productive and enlightening for all. A healthy collaboration amongst everyone to safeguard environment would ensure a productive ambience leading to environmental sustainability for the coming generations.
