The diverse, magnificent and appraised incredibility of India resides in its vast cultural heritage that springs in every corner of it, with each culture being intricate, unique and priceless in this whole sphere. In order to eulogize this diversity of cultures by descending the distance and uniting the cultures, School of Liberal Arts, a Faculty of Uttaranchal University, endeavoured to take a step forth to celebrate “Sadbhawana Diwas” on 20th August, 2020 with a foresight to encourage and celebrate national integrity and communal harmony.
Amidst the global pandemic, the event was organized as a virtual event, namely, “Our Roots”. It was conducted under the aegis of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat Campaign.”
The pleasantly brief programme was hosted by Ayesha Thapa who solemnly captured the theme and portrayed it for the audience. The participants included Sayantani Majumdar and Nikita Samant, who were dressed up in their cultural attires, but surprisingly, represented and reflected each other’s culture, being Kumaoni and Bengali respectively.
The harmonious melodies made everyone take keen interest in the whole show and the audience sat glued to the show. The programme was successful in evoking a sense of pride among the audience. The efforts and preparation made the entire event honestly successful and quite interesting in the conducted medium.
The whole programme was beautifully organized and presented forth by Ms. Reeta Rautela under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Shriya Goyal. Her efforts and management skills made the program full of delight. The crucial contribution of everyone involved was appreciated. It was, in real sense, an alluring program.
Everyone looked forward to attend and relish many such other programmes in the upcoming months after the successful and graceful conclusion of the event. The program was productive in evoking a sense of respect for the vast cultural diversity of India. The whole event was an artistic success that was furnished by the teachers and the students gathered online.
